D-1: The End of 2011

2011 marked the first year where I did not go a single day without anime whether it be one episode or an entire series. Despite it being my HSC year, I went from only having seen Yu-Gi-Oh, Sailor Moon, Beyblade, Vampire Knight and a few other series to closer to 100 series. 2011 also marks the year where I started following currently airing series. 2011 is the year where I really fell in love with anime. I became a lot more critical of it but I also enjoyed very much. While it was the year I started following anime, I didn't follow as much currently running anime as I would've liked to. I kind of inundated myself a little during the spring season so during the rest I watched a lot of older series to expose myself to the wide variety of anime that are available.

I started this blog in February with the intention of writing reviews and getting my opinion out there but I didnt' really have a lot of time throughout the year to put enough thought as I would like to into writing anything so I'm sorry for the lack of those. I know I will definitely have more time with the coming new year so expect more reviews coming out. I won't go down the track of covering anime weekly any time soon, however, as I honestly don't pay close enough attention each week to write about one episode in such great detail. There are already many blogs who cover anime that are much more established than I am around in any case.

I watched quite a bit of anime this year. Some were amazing and some were terrible, but I feel like I've only dipped my toes into the metaphorical ocean of anime that is out there. When I started this I honestly didn't think my interest in anime would survive long enough for me to keep writing but alas, it has. I know there are a lot of great and not-so-great series out there that I have yet to discover. So with that, see you on the other side in 2012~!

(ﾉゝ∀･)~キラ☆ KIRABOSHI!

I've been putting (ﾉゝ∀･)~キラ☆ KIRABOSHI! everywhere I can think of to celebrate Star Driver Sundayz. Waiting for Star Driver to finish downloading is so painful I just want to do this:

I'm going to miss waiting for hours every Sunday for a new episode. I fear Sundays may never be the same after today. No more ginga bishounen. Sad story. I'm really going to miss this awesome show. Right now, I'm just sitting here hoping for an epic ending and hoping for a possible sequel although it seems unlikely. And now just because I feel like it: (ﾉゝ∀･)~キラ☆ KIRABOSHI!

ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE?!

I'm just kidding. It was just an earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Nothing of such a large scale just yet. All the speculations about the cause of such a large amount of natural disasters are really funny. They range from climate change (which I as a matter of fact believe is a total scam) to ZOMBIE APOCALYPSES. Do zombies even exist? My thoughts are with all those who are in Japan and those with family in Japan.

On a less serious note, I probably looked this that this morning when I awoke to find that GOSICK had been delayed. No joke. My Saturday entertainment gone? It was very displeasing. Luckily I had Yumekui Merry but that was boring.

I was however very pleased to see that Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail episode 4 had finally been released after being delayed for so long. I watched the raw version but I was concentrating too much on listening to the audio to actually watch so I didn't really understand what was happening. I hope the subs come out faster this time around.

Ephemereal Addictions

It's late, I'm sleepy and I should really stop blogging all the time but I'm bored and my week has been shit and I really need a break. I'm pretty sure I'm very excited to received my Cardcaptor Sakura manga soon. I keep checking the tracking thing on the USPS site.

Resuscitated Hope

Welcome. Since I feel like the biggest loser right now (no not like the TV show), I decided to start a new blog after many unsuccessful and unbearably boring ones. I'm kind of a little short for time at the moment but just a little run-down on what this blog is going to be about:

This blog will mainly be anime, manga and music focused. That's mainly because I just want to get my mind off things during this stressful year towards my goal of 99.95 and I just happen to love those things.

I'll probably write reviews and other things related to the three topics mentioned up there. Maybe you'll just have to stick around and see.
